Entrepreneurship Africa Initiative - eAfricai Launched in Africa

Entrepreneurship Africa Initiative – eAfricai is an initiative to mentor African entrepreneurs leveraging on experience and expertise. 

The Convener of the initiative, Engr Olatuja Gabriel – Wealth, while addressing the press in Lagos on Monday said, “eAfricai is targeted at developing African entrepreneurs.”

eAfricai is an initiative geared towards business mentorship, training, empowerment and support to both business entrants and existing business owners in African.

This involves live sessions across eAfricai media channels. We bring guests to discuss topics, share experience and answer audience's questions relating to starting a business and scaling profitably.

In the live sessions, audience can ask questions about how to start a business, industry, niche or value chain, how to expand a business or a how to tackle a peculiar problem.

The background came from the fact that Africans have business ideas, but many don't know how to start or how to get the requirements to start. Many who have started are stocked because of obvious challenges economic. So many are not doing well in their businesses. Hence, we want to solve these problems.

“We want Entrepreneur Africa Initiatives, eAfricai to be the point of reference when it comes to solving business problems.”, Gabriel Added.

We also have a plan of owning an online academy, where people can take both local and international courses, acquire skills for free and get certified.

He also added that so many businesses, entrepreneurs, mentors, venture capitalists and tutors are already showing interest to be a part of the initiative. “We are already getting requests from people all over the world to be a part of eAfricai.”

Engr Olatuja also said that the vision of the initiative is to give African entrepreneurs the edge to compete among their global counterparts. “We want to build the African entrepreneurs’ capacity. We want to bridge the information gap between the successful business owners and those struggling in business."

EAfricai is built on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and Goal 8. 

With SDGs Goal 4, we ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote life-long learning opportunities for all Africans. We want to provide a learning ground for all Africans in business and entrepreneurship. 

With SDGs Goal 8, we promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.

Through the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) 8, we also aim to develop a global partnership for development in Africa through trades and investments, innovations and enterprise solutions, among others
