The Executive governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has declared a 24 hours curfew in all parts of Lagos State effective from 4PM today.
This was announced in a tweet in his verified twitter handle on Tuesday. He also added that nobody, except essential service providers and first responders must be found on the streets.

Dear Lagosians,

I have watched with shock how what began as a peaceful #EndSARS protest has degenerated into a monster that is threatening the well-being of our society. Lives and limbs have been lost as criminals and miscreants are now hiding under the umbrella
...
... of these protests to unleash mayhem on our state. As a government that is alive to its responsibility and has shown a commitment to the movement #ENDSARS, we will not watch and allow anarchy in our dear state.

I, therefore, hereby impose a 24-hour curfew on all parts of the State as from 4pm today, 20th October,2020. Nobody, except essential service providers and first responders must be found on the streets.

A lot of people have different opinions about the decision b y the governor.
See people's responses to the tweet below:
How does the curfew in Lagos start at 4pm today? How will people get home? A 24 hour indefinite curfew is oppressive and will only give room/excuses for people to be further brutalized by the police.

So u sef don join the dictatorship geng bah
Dear sir, the police that has been killing peaceful protesters couldn't face or arrest any thug causing unrest in the state. When a BRT bus took thugs to alausa to attack peaceful protesters where were you? Was and has any arrest been made? We thought you were better but...

You mean the sponsored thugs that came in your BRT bus ??

Any year you curfew uplift, we continue from where we stop.

Sanwo-Olu did everything the protesters wanted, joined them, too their complain to Abuja, set up judicial committee, identify the crooked SARS and put them forward for prosecution, let the protesters have their way. But they continued.
Inglourious end.
See this comedy too
