The feminist coalition, a not-for-profit organization and one of the leading supporters of the #EndSARS protest is a group of young Nigerian feminists formed in July 2020.

Feminist Coalition's mission is to champion equality for women in Nigerian society with a core focus on education, financial freedom and representation in public office.

This has the group demonstrated in the #EndSARS protest where the have made a commendable impact towards the campaign.

Couple with the support for the campaign was their transparency and accountability in the entire process. This has clearly showcased the group's vision towards achieving a Nigeria where equality for all people is a reality in our laws and everyday lives.

Some of the major areas of support of the group were receiving domations from all #EndSARS supporters both home and abroad and disbursing funds to the necessary area of needs in the protest, such as feeding of protesters and other wellfare.

Others were handling EndSARS Missing Person(s) cases to address the case of anyone missing during the EndSARS protests and curfew; Carering for Loss and Damages suffered a loss or damage during the protest and handling the EndSars Donor to receive donation account details.

Moreso, they also oversaw the EndSARS Legal Aid Support to request legal aid for affected protesters

In the bid to show Nigerian politicians example of how to be transparent and accountable when dealing with public funds, they released a statement that stated all the inflow and outflow of funds in the 14days protest. This was released in a tweet on their twitter handle on 22nd October, 2020.

In thec statement, how the leftover of the funds would be spent was also broken down. See tweet here:

The examplary leadership by the group and other Nigerian youth has shown that Nigerian youth are capable of leadership. Moreover, they are capable of appropriating funds, organisation and administration.
