#Endsars: US may Visa Ban on Person Wanting in Lekki Shooting

 The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has denied any involvement in the shooting of the peaceful protesters at the Lekki Tollgate.

Lagos State Government has set a judicial panel to investigate shootings. Soldiers deployed to calm the protesters also violated their human rights by shooting at them while singing the national anthem. The Defence Head Quarters denied shooting at the peaceful protesters.

The governor of Lagos said for clarity ,it's imperatives that no sitting governor controls the engagememt of the military. I have notheless order the investigation  into the rules of engagement adopted by men of Nigerian army that were deployed to the Lekki tollgate. Although the casualities remains a subject fo controversy.

The punch newspaper subsequently sent an email inquiry to the US Foreign Mission to Nigeria on whether those found wanting would be banned from entering the US. 

The US embassy stated we standby secretary Pompeo's statement on October 8 2020 : Adherence to these democratic norms and to the rule of law allows all citizen to engage in political dialogue and support their choice of candidate, parties and platform. We will watch closely the actions of individuals who interfere in the democratic process and we will not hesitate to consider consequences -including visa restriction.
