The governors of the south-wes regiont and monarchs on Sunday urges president Muhammed Buhari to open the land border of the Region that has been closed for over a year.
They made this known on Sunday that it has caused a lot of economic hardship on the people as prices of foodstuff have skyrocketed.
We believed that the prolonged closure of the border has caused economic difficulties and shold be re-examined to alleliviate problems of the people in the border communities and prices of essential commodities. There is need to review the closure and permit the resumption of economic and trading activities, the leader said. This was part of the communique issued at the end of the stakeholders meeting with President Buhari Chief of staff , Ministers , Inspector general of Police , Director of Department of State Services (DSS) , among other security agencies held at Lagos House, Alausa Ikeja, on Sunday. The communidue expressed appreciation to the President and his administration on the responsiveness to the initial demands of #Endsars demonstrators and for his firm handling of the aftermath of the protest.
