Strange Disease Hit Ibadan as Five Hospitalized, 11Killed

 People are afraid of a mysterious disease which has resulted in the death of eleven people. This happened in Lagelu Local Area of Oyo state.

Our correspondent reported that 5 persons are been hospitalized and battling for survival. The cause of the sickness is yet to be known. 

But the unconfirmed report showed that cholera outbreak as the symptom was closely compared with the cholera disease.

Meanwhile, the state government said the claim could not be quickly established as samples been taken from victims have been sent to the laboratory for examination.

The first case was recorded at Ariku village, where five have been confirmed dead. It was learnt that six-person were confirmed dead.

The caretaker chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Mr Abdullah Kelani confirmed that 11 persons have died as a result of the sickness. He added five persons are currently hospitalised and four persons has been discharged.

Kelani said investigation revealed that it was due to lack of clean water by the affected persons.
