The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed disclosed on Monday that the Federal government may impose a travel ban to and from certain parts of the world.
Mohammed a member of the Presidential Task Force(PTF) on COVID-19 said while the government appreciates the negative impact of another lockdown, it would not rule out restrictions on movement to and from certain parts of the world.
This restriction ban is as a result of the new strain of COVID-19 manifesting in the United Kingdom. To curtail the spread of the COVID-19, the Federal government has ordered nationwide closure of all bars, night clubs, event centers, and recreational venues as well as restaurants, except those providing services to hotel residents, takeaways, home deliveries and drive-ins.
