Lagos East Senatorial District By-Election Live Update

 

The Lagos East senatorial district by-election holds today 5th December 2020 to replace the vacant seat created by the deceased of senator Adebayo Osinowo in June this year.

The local governments where the by-election is holding are Shomolu, Kosofe, Epe, Ikorodu and Ibeju Lekki and across the eleven LCDAs.

The senatorial candidates are Tokunbo Abiru(APC), Adeoye Mercy Boside(AAC), Adebowale J. Johnson (ADP), Lawal Addat Opeyemi(NNPP), Babatunde Olalere Gbadaamosi (PDP, Olukunle Akin Adisa (NRM), Muyiwa Sunday Adebanjo(AA), Aluko Saheed Olawale (SDP), John Kome(ADC), Temitope Taiwo Elijah(YPP).

The By-election is being held today, Saturday, 12th of November 2020 in Lagos East senatorial district to replace the vacant seat created by the death of senator Adebayo Osinowo in June this year.

Mr. Babatunde Gbadamosi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Mr. Tokunbo Abiru of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the major contenders in the election.

The election will be held across five local government areas (LGAs)  and eleven local council development areas LCDA’s.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC revealed that 1,168,790 voters are eligible to participate in the bye-election.
