Dreaming is a good gift from God, especially when
they are filled with hope, guidance through difficult situations. It may be a
realm through which God communicate and reveal secrets to us.
However, having a bad dream or nightmare,
especially when it comes repeatedly may become worrisome, and absolutely
confusing. Bad dreams that become battleground of terror or where one has weird
experiences are not usually palatable.
Bad Dreams or Nightmares may be caused by so many
reasons that would be explained in here. I will also release prayer points to
overcome nightmare and its effects.
1. Revelation: God may reveal the battles he’s
fighting for you, conquered battles in the dream. Hence, you don’t have to fret
when you have a bad dream. Do not fear. When you start panicking because of the
bad dream, it means you believe it will happen and that may lead to the evil
manifestation. Do not give fear a room
2. Anxiety or fear: If there’s anything that
bothers your mind, you may have bad dream when you go to sleep. Try as much as possible to ease off your mind
of any fear or anything that disturbs your mind, including undelivered tasks.
3. Demonic Attacks: The devil may try to taunt us
through with nightmares with the intention to distract or derail us from God’s
divine plans for us by showing us unbearable, horrifying dreams.
Jesus gave a parable in Matthew 13:25 “But while
everyone was asleep, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went
away.”
The enemy may try to sow evil seed into one’s life
while sleeping. This is why we must not be slumbering in the spirit.
What to do after having a bad dream.
If you do have nightmare, do not fret. All you need
to do is to grow more in faith and spiritually. You need to study and meditate
on the word of God constantly. Also you need to pray from time to time. Pray
using the word of God and not prayers of fear. Pray these prayers from time to
time. You have overcome, because greater is he that’s in you than he that’s in
the world.
Also, do take holy communions in your church and
also take holy communion on your own to reaffirm to the devil that you are a
joint heir with Christ.
I do not have the spirit of fear, but the spirit of
power, love and sound mind. Halleluiah! (2 Timothy 1:7)
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you because you have
given me the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power
of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt me! Lord (Luke 10:19).
The word of God says in Matthew 18:18 that, “whatever
I bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will
be loosed in heaven.”
Therefore, I bind up the attacks that the adversary
has had on my sleep in Jesus’ Name.
Whenever I sleep, I shall have sweet and Holy
Spirit filled dreams in Jesus Name.
I declared that the plans that the enemy has on my
sleep be destroyed in Jesus Name.
I exercise my authority in Christ Jesus in the
morning, afternoon and at night, when I sleep; I put an end to bad dreams in
the mighty name of Jesus.
The nightmares I have had shall not by any means
hurt me in the mighty name of Jesus.
John 10:10 says, The thief comes for to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy: Jesus has come that I might have life, and have it
more abundantly.
Therefore, I belong to Jesus. I have abundance of
life in Jesus in the morning, noon or night.
From now onwards, when I lie down, I shall not be
afraid. My dreams shall be sweet in the mighty name of Jesus (Proverbs 3:24).
When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the
Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him in Jesus name (Isaiah
59:19).
The bad dreams that the enemy might have planted in
my life will no longer take God’s peace that I have in Jesus name.
I command you Devil and all your cohorts, flee from
me, because I am of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Satan, you no longer have influence over me when
I’m awake and when I’m asleep because I belong to Jesus.
Devil, I resist you, flee from me. Satan, I stand
against you. Flee from in the mighty name of Jesus Christ (James 4:7).
Going forward, bad dreams will no longer haunt me.
I will be glad and rejoice, for you, Oh Lord will do great things.
I remove nightmares and their effects by the power
of God in Jesus name.
I am blessed with good dreams and with a peaceful
sleep in Jesus Name.
Thank you mighty Warrior, because no weapon formed against me shall prosper
(Isaiah 54:17).
They shall come out against me one way and flee
before me seven ways (Deuteronomy 28:7).
I affirm the authority of the lord Jesus over my
life, the Lord is with me wherever I go and even as I sleep in Jesus Name.
In the might name of Jesus, I wrestle against
principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places and I conquer (Ephesians 6:12).
I nullify all evil nightmares caused by acts of spiritual wickedness in high places; I destroy the plans of the enemy and I have peace in my sleep in Jesus name. Amen.
