  Heaven in you! God in you! - By Apostle Gabriel-Wealth Olatuja 

Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16.

I want to use this scripture to do a correction to us Christians. I will be expantiating on:

1. You are the temple of God [where God lives].

2. The Spirit of God lives in you.

You are the temple of God [where God lives]. You are the house where God lives. Heaven is not in the atmosphere. Heaven is in you. When we think of heaven, what comes to our minds is that heaven is somewhere above the sky, far above the atmosphere, ionosphere and stratosphere. So when you talk of heaven, they look up as if heaven is somewhere in the sky.

First, what is heaven?

A heaven is where God lives. It is a realm, not a geographical location.

Heaven is not in the sky or above the atmosphere.  Heaven is in you [as a believer in Christ Jesus]. You are God's habitation. God lives on your inside. Heaven is in you! Glory!!!

If you believe you have the holy spirit in you, then you have God in you. God and God's spirit are the same.

Some Christians still pray to invite God to their lives every time they pray. They even pray to invite God to their mists when they gather. They sing songs like, "wa wa wa emi mimo, wa wa wa, alagbara, alagbara wa o, wa o, wa o", which is a yoruba song translated in English to "come come come holy spirit, come come come almighty God, almighty God come, come, come". They sing such songs with charisma and loud clapping of hands and shaking of hands. Good gymnastics!

Excuse me, let me ask you. "Do you have the holy spirit? Does the holy spirit live in you? If your answer is "yes", then where are you inviting holy spirit from and where are you inviting him to, when he is already tabernacled in you?

The thing is, they don't have knowledge of the word of God. That is why they song such songs. I have sang such before. 

We used to sing songs like "Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died; Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side."

We used to sing songs like this because we didn't have a good knowledge of the word of God. If God is in you, why will you beg him to draw you nearer? It is someone who is far away that can be drawn nearer. Do you mean you are far from God? Get knowledge now. God will not draw you nearer, He is already inside you. He is one with you. 

You want God to draw you nearer to the cross? Did you know you were hung together with Jesus on the cross, did you know you died with him, buried with him and raised up together with him when He resurrected? 

Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Roman's 6:4).

Pay attention to the songs you sing and the prayers you pray. Many of the prayers and songs out there are not right for you. Don't be Ignorant! 

The problem of so many children of God today is not from the enemy. It is ignorance! Satan capitalises on ignorance to deprive God's people of their rights and blessings. 

Read meanings to the words of the songs you sing and the prayers you pray. Not all songs or prayers in the bible are right for you. Not all religious songs are right for you. Get wisdom!

If you have the holy spirit in you, why are you inviting him again? We use to sing another song, "holy spirit, thou art welcome in this place..." Which place? The room where we gathered? He said "wherever two or three people are gathered in my name, I am there among them." (Matthew 18:20). He's there because each and everyone in such gathering carries him. He lives in them all, therefore HE is already present.

There's another mistake that some ministers of God also make in service. The service began with opening prayer, worship and praise, hymns, Sunday school in some cases etc and when pastor climbs the pulpit, he will starts to welcome holy spirit to the service. Does it mean that God has not been in the service with all that has been done before he mounted the pulpit? Let's not be Ignorant. Starting to invite holy spirit at the middle of a service where holy spirit is present and has been working wonders in God's people is a grevious ignorance that should not be condoned in the Assembly of God's people.

You can acknowledge the presence of the holy spirit, like, "thank you holy spirit, because you are here". Don't start to invite HIM. Starting to invite him means you just wasted all your time and energy put into the earlier part of the service,  because you don't believe in it in the first place.

God lives in you. He will never depart from you forever, because you are a recreared one in Christ Jesus. The holy spirit is Jesus. The holy spirit is not a different personality. He's Jesus. 

John 14:16-27 says, "And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever— The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you."

Jesus became spirit and dwells in us and promised to live in us forever. Don't be like the world that do not know and recognize Him. You have to know him and recognize him, because He lives in you. You received him by faith. So recognize him you.

In Verse 18, he says, "I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you."

Jesus came back as the Holy spirit. If you have received the holy spirit, be of Good cheer, He can never leave you again. He said he will abide with you forever. 

Stop feeling as if you are powerless and expecting a power to descend on you to give you a better power. The power you are expecting is already in you. All you need to do is to activate the power by listening to Him and fellowshipping with him and walk in faith! You carry Him with you everywhere you go at all time. Even when you are asleep, He's in you. Christianity is faith and not feeling.

You need to learn to listen to Him and follow His directives. That is what you need. Not inviting him again and again to come and fill you as if the one that was in you has died or been exhausted. 

Say to yourself, "I carry God on my inside". "I am not helpless. I am not empty. Because the holy spirit is my helper, my standby. I cannot be condemned because the holy spirit is my advocate". Hallelujah!
